March 2011
Be sure to read the comments, as well! I know I’m probably a bit late on the bandwagon (so sue me, I don’t follow blogs unless they’re on tumblr), but this is fantastic. As the title says!
Hopefully I’ll end up having a lot of the Fun Ones! And not so many of the Not-So-Fun Ones! I feel like I should really shoot for The Writing Team a lot more by letting myself be heard rather than forgetting I know at least a few fancy styling variations. Ah, well, that’s what this weekend is for!
Oh, you don’t know? This weekend is Cumberland Shuffle! If you’re a lead in the general Nashville, TN area, you should head on over and register at the door! If you’re not, then I’ll forgive you for not driving 6 or more hours and missing a lot of fun. Just this once, though.
You know how you can have a conversation with someone and then a day later think back on it and say “Wait a minute, I should’ve made this point right there instead of keeping quiet!” That happened in my dream just now. I was playing, more or less, the part of Buffy in the whole Parker small story arc, and I kept having a conversation rewind and letting me do it differently, only I wouldn’t do anything different. I do this rethinking bit a lot with real world conversations, too, and I guess I need to stop holding myself back and go for it, say what I want to when I want to and let the consequences be damned.
Sadly, my dream lacked Joss Whedon dialogue. I suppose watching more Buffy and Firefly will help my dreams to adopt it, so I must. For science.
It’s annoying how easy it is to think that you don’t matter but how hard you must work to accept that you do.

DO IT DO IT DO IT.
What she said, definitely.
