Trapped and Enshrined in My Own Mind (Red vs Blue)
Title taken from lyrics from Trapped in the Minds.
Title: Trapped and Enshrined in My Own Mind
Fandom: Red vs Blue
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 700
Characters: York, Wash
Summary: Following The Ghost of a Smile. Wash tries to tell York about Carolina’s death.
At first Wash didn’t think about it. Something always came up- someone arguing with someone else, one of the jeeps going the wrong way, someone needing to scout ahead, someone else needing to help Caboose get out of a tree -there was always a legitimate interruption whenever Wash tried to tell York about what happened to Carolina.
Until he realized it was actually York not wanting to talk about it.
He carefully made his way around stones half the size of a body, piled high into a dirt hill above where the simulation troops were sprawled out, bitching and arguing. Laying in the crevice at the top and peering off into the distance was York and it was still so surreal for Wash to call him that; the man that blew through the Project with a vivacious grin and infective humor, who always gave Wash crap for being as unlucky with cars as he was with women. The man that was the closest thing to a brother Wash had ever had, it was all stripped away until anger fired his bones and vengeance pulled his muscles.
In a way, Wash was actually glad Carolina wasn’t alive to see him like that.
So
motherfucking ole, aj.
Holy shit. I love this. I love this so much. I love how he is, and I love the idea that he doesn’t remember her, and I love how bitter he is because of it. I love how he’s taking elements from canon Carolina and canon Wash and I love it all the more because he’s not taking the elements of my headcanon Wash and that just makes it even better because new interpretations and seriously, man. Motherfucking ole.

The Ghost of a Smile (Red vs Blue)
Title: The Ghost of a Smile
Fandom: Red vs Blue
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 3251
Characters: Carolina, York, Delta, Epsilon, Wash, the Director, Maine, Caboose, Tucker
Summary: AU in which York received Epsilon and Carolina received Delta.
She can feel York’s arm flexing under her, the clench and stretch of fingers attempting to chase away the needles that ran static over his nerves, but Carolina was too comfortable to bother moving. And despite the limb falling asleep on him, York was too comfortable to move her.
“Tomorrow’s the implantation,” he said.
“Yeah.”
“You worried?”
“Not really,” she told him. But he heard it in her voice as much as he felt it in her hand resting against his chest and her leg drawing lazily between his own. She wasn’t worried about herself or him, but what they were together. Worried enough that she had dragged York to her quarters and lost herself in him like she’d never done before. In case she’d never be able to again because they’d both have someone else floating in the back of their heads and that might be enough to change this. Change everything.
My mind is reeling between “WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS” and “THIS IS EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE”.
I like how you had York follow Carolina’s story line rather that Wash’s. And I love how you write the two of them together, so much. And I love you, aj. Because you’re amazing.
I love York describing him as a “ghost” and all the scenes were just so creepy and so right, and I love this so much. And now I really want to see it continue with Wash and York dealing with everyone. And Wash telling York Carolina is dead. And all the things. ALL OF THEM. <3
A Helping Hand (Red vs Blue)
Mostly for mumblybee because she was upset, but also for anyone that needs a pick-me-up or just like York and Wash being dicks to each other.

Summary: New armor enhancements means rigorous testing.
It hadn’t even been a week since Wash had been given his armor enhancement and he was still trying to learn the ins and outs of it. With York volunteering to help him.
Carolina had no idea who approved of that given how Wash ‘helped’ York test his healing unit’s capabilities. Her suspicions were confirmed when she found them in the training room. With a jeep. And York on the turret and Wash cowering behind a barrier.
“C’mon, man!” York was shouting over the turret’s rapport even though Wash could hear him perfectly over the commlink. “You’re not gonna stop anything from way over there!”
“Then stop shooting at me, you crazy bastard!”
“Don’t be such a baby, Wash! You need to know how to use your equipment!”
“What I need to do is live! And maybe get some better friends.”
I don’t know how I missed this but YES.
ALL OF THE YES. EVERY YES. IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY.
Everything I love is in this fic. And more. York’s only trying to help, Wash. Good grief.
